Comrade S. G. Sardesai 91907-1996) belonged to the generation of the pioneers of the communist movement in our country.He was a freedom fighter , a talented organiser, speaker and writer and an outstanding Marxist thinker.This book begins with his life story, the first part of which was written by Mahapandit Rahul sankrityayana as far back as in 1942-1943. The biographical sketch is brought up to date by the second artical in the volume. This is followed by reminiscences and tributes by veteran leaders of the Communist Party of India, who worked in close association with Sardesai: comrades A.B. Bardhan, Inderjeet Gupta, Jagannath Sarkar and Satya Pal Dang.
