The earlier version of this book was well received. It was published with the title " Glimpses of CPI History: through Party Congresses" , on the occasion of Chandigarh CPI Congress 2005.
Since then, it was felt and suggested that the narration of history be extended beyond the party congress to include important events in the Communist movement , pre and post independence. Some events have been added, some others given in greater details. For several obvious reason , the size of the book has been kept limited, including for reasons of cost.Yet, there is no denying that a detailed work or volume on the history of the Communist movement, its contribution, information about its leaders and its place in history has become imperative. We will try to do so at a suitable time.
